
My name is Pietro, I am a track and field athlete in Brazil. I run the 100, 200 and 4x100 meter races at local, state, and national level. When I came up with the idea of becoming an elite sprinter, Nick was the first one to help me. His training program helped me a lot, not only in strength, but also in mobility. Nick is way more than a training coach. When I got Covid and the gyms were closed, the program that he made with little resources made me get back on track allowing me to feel good and fast when I was finally back on the track. When I got injured, Nick's recovery and mobility program helped me pass through the pain and about a month later I won 2 gold medals and became one of the best athletes under 23 in my state.

I first started training with Nick around December of Last year and I told him what I wanted to work towards on the field and in the weight room. I told him I wanted to be more explosive off the ball but also be super strong to bully kids on the field. I asked to get to a 500lbs squat and at least 3 plates on the bench press by April during our liftathon. He wrote me a program to gain explosiveness but also get stronger. If I ever had a question he would respond within 5 minutes on text and go over my videos and teach me how I can be better at the lift. When April hit and it was max day I squatted 500lbs and benched 325lbs! I also felt way more flexible and can bend way easier at my position. He taught me how to lift, but also taught me the world of mobility and how it can make our lifts better. All the joint pains I had, he knew what stretch and how to get rid of them. I recommend Nick to any athlete or any powerlifter who wants to get better at their craft.

I've been working with Nick for just over a year and it has been a great return on investment! As a powerlifter, the main reason why I needed Nick as my online coach was to take care of my programming and give me constant feedback and communication on my performance, which he does perfectly. His training methods have brought me so much benefit for my performance in my sport and longevity since I'm able to train without any pain in my joints and connective tissues, which is very overlooked in the sport of powerlifting. Not only that, Nick has helped me mature a lot in the gym and in powerlifting: with his constant communication, he helped me overcome many mental setbacks I had during my training, especially when preparing for my first competition as my performance was oscillating at times, putting my feet on the ground whenever I needed to, but also showing me a clear path for improvement in the sport, and today I use these experiences to empower other people starting out in the gym. For the past 2+ years, I have been training with Nicholas with a focus on powerlifting. His training methods opened my eyes to my body's capabilities in many ways besides just strength. Through a combination of training for muscle growth, joint and connective tissue training, speed, endurance, and of course powerlifting program, I have been able to push my body to peak performance. Many times there is a stigma that powerlifters are unathletic, slow, fat, and or lack in their physique. However, as a strength athlete who utilizes Nick's expertise in the different ways to train the body I'm able to take pride in the feeling of being superhuman, a true athlete. The ability to function and move better as a human and most importantly pain free is invaluable to anyone especially an athlete. I have total trust in my coaches abilities to maximize injury prevention while also helping my performance excel. Just now turning 18 I have been training with Nick since my sophomore year in high school; I have been able to increase my SBD numbers from 255/200/295 to 415/260/555. I have been working with Nick for over a year now, and I can proudly say that not only has Nick made me a better lifter, but also a better human being. Before becoming an NB performance athlete, I had no idea what I was doing in the gym. Now, not only do I understand what I am doing during my workouts, but I also know WHY I am executing certain movements. Thanks to Nick, I am currently placed second in the world in my age and weight class and hold seven Florida USAPL state records. Throughout prepping for nationals, Nick has constantly been by my side pushing me to be the best I can possibly be as a coach, and as a friend. Although I have been through multiple preps in the past, this one has been extremely different as I’m competing in a class below my usual competition weight. This cutting process would have been immensely more difficult without Nick by my side. Nick's online training program has taken me from an inexperienced, unmotivated gym goer to a determined intermediate-level powerlifter. In the span of a year (Dec 2021-Dec 2022) with Nick we increased my SBD total from 845 lbs to 1,090lbs. In fact, 100 of those pounds were added to the total from April to September of 2022. In addition to strength, Nick has taught me a lot about joint conditioning and the importance of overall health, not just how much weight you can lift. Nick utilizes functional range conditioning in his programming that helps immensely with recovery, warm-up, and joint capacity. Along with added strength and newfound knowledge of the human body, I am now an experienced lifter and plan to pursue a future involving powerlifting, thanks to Nick's programming and mentoring.
